Crossfit in her 60s! Meet Phyllis!
When she relocated from PA to the Myrtle Beach area, Phyllis knew she wanted to find a chiropractor in the area. A very active person, she got busy with her physical training and daily life until a nagging, persistent headache hit. Her headache was impacting her workouts and her day-to-day life. “Little did I know how much chiropractic care has enabled me to progress and get stronger and more mobile,” she says. Her Crossfit coach referred her to Dr. Turner at impACT Chiropractic for an evaluation.
During her initial evaluation, Dr. Turner explained the findings from the diagnostic testing and what could be done to improve her spinal health. Taking care of her spinal health would improve her quality of life and mobility. After beginning care, Phyllis’ headache resolved and she quickly returned to her routine of extreme physical conditioning at Crossfit three to four days per week. She’s noticed improvements in her physical mobility, stress management, and her self-awareness. She says, “Treatment has allowed me to challenge my body physically while remaining, essentially, injury-free.”
At over 65 years old, Phyllis’ fitness regimen of Crossfit and yoga along with chiropractic care has kept her mobile and strong. She says, “Self awareness, both physically and mentally, has kept my quality of life at a high level.” Who knew being in your mid-60s could look so healthy and strong?
