Dr. David Turner
Dr. David Turner is a pediatric and family chiropractor and Conway area native. He hopes to inspire a health revolution, family by family, that creates a lasting impact in the health of our community.
Dr. Turner began his education at Coastal Carolina University, where he earned his first Bachelor of Science in 1997 in Biology/Marine Science. After starting in a Master of Science program at Louisiana State University studying Gulf-area fisheries, he realized his true passion was helping people (instead of fish). Dr. Turner went on to earn his second Bachelor of Science in 1999 in Human Biology at the National University of Health Sciences (NUHS). In 2002, he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic, also at NUHS.
Dr. Turner returned home to Conway, SC and opened Turner Chiropractic and Rehab in 2003. He also began teaching as a way to give back to his community. He taught Anatomy and Physiology, first at Horry Georgetown Technical College from 2003-2006, and then at his alma mater—Coastal Carolina University from 2006-2010.
Dr. Turner married his soul mate, Lori, in 2005. Their twins, Wyatt and Macy, were born in 2007. As the twins grew, they began to experience the typical ear infections and respiratory infections all too common for young children. With his training in chiropractic care spanning from newborns to centenarians, Dr. Turner knew he could help his children avoid the endless rounds of antibiotics and the potential of risky surgeries. The amazing results his own children experienced only increased his commitment to provide safe, drug-free chiropractic care for every member of your family.
In late 2016, Dr. Turner took the first steps in transforming Turner Chiropractic to Impact Chiropractic, with the goal of helping more people take control of their health and their family’s health. On January 2, 2018, Impact Chiropractic unveiled a newly-renovated office designed to provide the same quality care and exceptional service in a more open and relaxing environment.
In 2021, Dr. Turner earned his Certification by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Currently, Dr. Turner is the only chiropractor in the Grand Strand and surrounding areas to hold this prestigious certification in the treatment of pediatric and prenatal clients.

Dr. Paola Nicole Colón Rodriguez
Dr. Paola Nicole Colón Rodriguez (but you can call her Dr. P!) was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She grew up playing soccer and competing in swimming. She attended the University of Puerto Rico’s Bayamon campus where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology in 2017. As a graduate, she fell in love with Life University and the variety it offered her as a future chiropractor. She originally sought to incorporate sports into her chiropractic career, however during her time at Life University, she discovered her truest passion was pregnancy and kiddos.
She graduated Life University in March of 2021. While her focus is on pregnancy and pediatrics, her passion for sports and movement remained and she is a certified Birth Fit Leader and will soon be a certified pregnancy and postpartum athleticism coach. She loves being able to care for her patients throughout their journey into motherhood and beyond. She is certified in the Webster Technique and is currently working on her prenatal certification with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She is also a member of the Pediatric Experience group of Chiropractors. Dr. Paola is so excited to bring her passion for pediatrics and prenatal care to Impact Chiropractic!
Dr. Leigh Owen
Dr. Leigh Owen is a pediatric and family chiropractor, originally from Hillsboro, IL. She graduated from Logan University of Chiropractic in 2013 (Chesterfield, MO). She spent two years honing her skills in Missouri before moving to San Diego, CA, where she had her own practice for eight years. After she and her husband, Mike, started a family (daughter Lexi and son Levi), they decided to put down roots in SC after falling in love with the area during a visit. Dr. Leigh is an all ages, all stages chiropractor with training to work with everyone from newborns to grandparents. She is an expert in the ultra-gentle Logan Basic Technique, which is safe for expecting moms and kiddos of all ages.
Dr. Leigh believes that finding and solving the root cause of the problem is the key to true and lasting health. To provide this level of care, she also holds certifications in Nutrition with Maximized Living, Graston Soft Tissue Release Technique, Advanced Logan Basic, and she is a Certified Yoga instructor. As a mom, she has a passion for helping other women navigate the transition into motherhood. She aspires to become a Certified Lactation Educator to help new moms overcome common breastfeeding challenges. Dr. Leigh is excited to join the Impact Chiro team and reach out to her new community while providing alternative answers to their health needs and challenges.
